Viña Errázuriz debuts at La Place de Bordeaux

This Thursday, March 14th, Viña Errázuriz reaches a new milestone in its solid career as a global benchmark for the quality and image of fine Chilean wines.

The Pizarras, one of the most innovative iconic projects in recent years, joins exclusively the world's finest wines through La Place de Bordeaux. The first global release through this prestigious distribution network will be the outstanding 2022 vintage in March 2024, through CVBG and Joanne Rare Wines, with the exception of the UK market which will remain through our strategic partner Hacth Mansfield.

Originating from a terroir-focused philosophy and aiming for excellence, Las Pizarras sets out to create a paradigm shift in quality for cool-climate Chilean wines. This project designates a limited, Grand Cru equivalent production of special blocks in Aconcagua Costa D.O.

Tomás Muñoz, winemaker at Viña Errázuriz, comments on the 2022 vintage: “Thanks to selective harvesting and gradual, uniform maturation, we have achieved wines of exceptional balance, highlighted by their vibrant aromatic profile, significant concentration, and lively freshness that reflect the unique characteristics of our terroir.”

This year's vintage upholds its legacy of distinction, with Las Pizarras Chardonnay 2022 and Las Pizarras Pinot Noir 2022 each achieving an outstanding 98 points and Las Pizarras Syrah 2022 receiving an excellent 96 points from international wine critic James Suckling.

The launch of these wines through this prestigious network in France represents a significant leap in Viña Errázuriz's effort to gain even more international recognition, allowing us to capture and enchant a new audience of wine enthusiasts around the world while simultaneously strengthening our legacy and position in the global market.
