In a long-awaited debut, Viña Errázuriz announced the launch of the 2022 vintage of its flagship wine
Don Maximiano Founder’s Reserve, a label that honors the legacy of the founder and pioneer of Chile’s iconic wines. This exceptional wine has been produced under the meticulous direction of its chief winemaker, Tomás Muñoz, who emphasizes the dedication behind each bottle.

The 2022 crop was characterized by warmer weather and below historical average rainfall, which presented some challenges. However, thanks to winter irrigation and the influence of the sea breeze, the vines remained healthy and balanced. The result was a vintage of wines with deep color, ripe tannins and vibrant acidity that lend freshness and elegance. The proximity to the Pacific Ocean contributed to its concentrated structure, intense violet tones and a complex, refined and elegant profile.

To date, it has already obtained international recognition, reaching 97 points by James Suckling and 96 points by Descorchados. It is expected to continue to garner accolades from other leading publications such as Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate and Tim Atkin MW in the coming months.
