On May 24, at the invitation of Chilean President Michelle Bachelet, Mister Li Keqiang, Premier of the People’s Republic of China, and his wife Madame Cheng Hong, visited Chile as part of his first official trip to Latin America.

To welcome Mr. Li Keqiang to Chile and consolidate the traditional friendship between both countries, Eduardo Chadwick, President and owner of Viña Errázuriz, sent the Premier and his delegation especially selected bottles of Don Maximiano Founder’s Reserve, the winery’s flagship wine. Eduardo Chadwick included as well the latest edition of the book “The Berlin Tasting, Uncorking the Potential of Chile’s Terroir,” which tells the story of the Chadwick-Errázuriz family and their quest to establish Chile’s place among the world’s greatest wine appellations.

Premier Li Keqiang expressed his gratitude for the gift and explained that Chile had been at the forefront of developing relations with China among all countries in the region, as it was the first nation in South America to establish diplomatic relations with China and one of the first to sign a Free Trade Agreement with his country.

During his visit, the Premier attended the Economy and Trade Seminar in memory of the 45th anniversary of the establishment of China-Chile diplomatic relations, and the 7th meeting of China-Chile Entrepreneur Committee.
