In a dazzling traditional ballroom located in a fully restored 600-year-old Chinese temple, the major authorities and business leaders of Chile and the People’s Republic of China gathered to celebrate the 45th anniversary of the diplomatic relations between the two nations and the 10th anniversary of their Free Trade Agreement.
Don Maximiano Founder’s Reserve, the Errázuriz icon wine from the Aconcagua Valley, was the official wine of this high-end event held on August 26 at The Temple in Beijing. Chinese representatives led by the Vice chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress of China, Xiang Ba Pingcuo, and the Chilean delegation, which included former President Eduardo Frei, the Ambassador to China, Jorge Heine, and the Minister of Public Works, Alberto Undurraga, among others, toasted with Don Maximiano to celebrate the close friendship between Chile and China.
Carlos de Carlos, Errázuriz Asia Managing Director, presented the Chinese authorities with the book “The Berlin Tasting, Uncorking the Potential of Chile’s Terroir,” which tells the story of the Chadwick-Errázuriz family and their quest to establish Chile’s place among the world’s greatest wine appellations.
