The daylight saving time (DST) runs one hour forward (UTC-03:00) between
the second Sunday of October and the second Sunday of March.
That is, during standard time ( March to October ) Chile runs 2 hours
later than US Eastern Time ( DST - New York, Miami, Washington DC - ),
during summer time ( DST ) Chile has the same time as US Eastern Time (
EST ).
Insular Chile ( Easter Island ) is in the UTC-06:00 time zone, and
during summer it is in the UTC-05:00 time zone.
Chile uses the 24-hour time format and the European date format (day,
month, year).
