Winemaker’s Notes:
Deep violet red with ruby highlights, this first vintage of Las Pizarras Syrah displays attractive tones reminiscent of violets, sour cherries, a light ash sensation accompanied by incense, plus a hint reminiscent of licorice, all framed by a subtle note of roasted coffee bean and cigar box. The palate highlights the texture of its tannins and the sensation of chalk and minerality, with a refreshing entrance and very good acidity that enhances the flavors that remind of red and black fruits. Fine tannins, very polished and displaying great depth and persistence. An elegant wine that is still perceived young and with a long life ahead.” – Francisco Baettig, Technical Director
