Las Pizarras Chardonnay has undoubtedly consolidated as the Best White Wine of Chile in Tim Atkin MW’s Chile Reports. In his 2019 Report recently published in mid-march, the 2017 vintage of Las Pizarras Chardonnay was hailed as Overall Best White Wine of the Year with remarkable 97 points, placing it alone at the top of all white wines tasted.

Every bit as good as the 2015 release, which was a world-class white, this brilliant Chardonnay wouldn’t look out of place in a line up of Corton Charlemagnes. Focused, precise and very long on the palate, it has thrilling minerality, understated concentration and leesy, citrus-edged fruit framed by scented oak. Superb.” Previously, on the Chile Report 2017, the 2015 vintage also won the Overall Best White Wine (97 points). A year later, the 2016 vintage was awarded with the highest score of all white wines tasted (96 points), placing this wine and the Aconcagua Costa appellation at the top of the podium for three consecutive vintages, an achievement that no other Chilean white wine has ever accomplished.
